Celadon & Celery Brought La Dolce Vita to Nonoo’s Fashion Week Fete

November 2, 2011

Porto Ercole on the Italian Riviera

Misha Nonoo, who has spent many summers in Italy, feels a deep connection to the country and was compelled to capture the nostalgic glamour and decadence of the Italian Riviera for her Spring/Summer 2012 collection. And so Hotel Il Pellicano in Porto Ercole served as the charming backdrop and lifestyle Misha sought for her latest collection’s lookbook and video.

But for Nonoo’s Fashion Week presentation, Misha would need to rely on someone else to recreate the overwhelming feeling of traveling along Italy’s cinematic coastline.

Enter Celadon and Celery.

Bess and Misha met several years ago through Misha’s fiance, and they’ve been dear friends since, jumping at the chance to work together whenever the opportunity presents itself. Bess speaks adoringly of Misha, extolling her many talents and design aesthetic. As Bess recounted the other events Celadon & Celery helped to produce for Nonoo, she noted that “this one by far is my favorite.”

With one look at any of the photos, it’s easy to see why.

To capture a fabulously chic Italian vibe for Nonoo’s fashion week presentation, Celadon & Celery made use of the powerful olive branch. The olive tree, after all, is synonymous with the essence of the Mediterranean region and its gardens. Celadon & Celery used olive branches, a symbol of peace, to create six giant trees, each adorned with moss, bright red pegonias, and birch trees.

Guests sipped on fine Italian coffee at Milk Studios as they took in Nonoo’s stunning collection and the peaceful Italian ambiance Celadon & Celery created. Models stood in bold and beautifully colored blazers, silk tops, dresses, and sequins perfectly against the rich reds and deep greens which livened the room. Guests had found their fashion week respite.

After soaking up the warmth and charm of Italy, and Nonoo’s magical collection, her guests left with a taste of la dolce vita.
